  5. Profit = $60.00 − fees $8.56 − costs $32.00 = $19.44

Pre-filled rates are from eBay selling fees (US), checked on 27 October 2026. Fees vary by category, country, plan and over time, so enter your own rates if they differ. Results are estimates. Fixed per-order fees and the tier limit are in US dollars, so switch the currency to USD for eBay.com. Results are estimates: actual eBay fees depend on your category, store subscription, seller performance and the final order details.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the default rates come from?

From eBay’s official selling fees pages for eBay.com, for most categories with no store subscription, checked on 27 October 2026. Some categories (for example certain clothing, collectibles, jewellery or business equipment) and store subscribers pay different rates, so change the fields to match your case.

Should I offer free shipping?

Free shipping can help listings sell, but you pay the postage. Use the eBay Shipping Calculator to compare charging for shipping with building it into the price.
