Privacy policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This policy explains what information CalculatorHandy (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, and how it is used.

Numbers you enter into calculators

Calculations run entirely in your web browser. The values you type into a calculator are not sent to us or stored on our servers.

Information stored on your device

We use your browser’s local storage to remember two preferences: your chosen theme (light or dark) and your preferred currency on finance calculators. These stay on your device and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Exchange rates

The Currency Converter requests published reference exchange rates from a public rates service (Frankfurter, which republishes European Central Bank data). That request includes your IP address, as all web requests do, but no calculator values.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the service running.

Advertising and cookies

We may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type using cookies. It does not receive the values you enter into calculators.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because we do not collect calculator inputs or create user accounts, we usually hold no personal information about you. To ask a question or make a request, email support@hcalculatorhandy.org.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
