There is no single perfect weight, so this tool shows the results of four widely used formulas next to the healthy BMI range for your height. Treat them as a broad guide, not a target you must hit.
Each formula starts with a base weight for 5 ft (152.4 cm) and adds a fixed amount per inch above that. Devine (1974): men 50 kg + 2.3 kg/in; women 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg/in.
Examples
Man, 175 cm (68.9 in): Devine 70.5 kg, Robinson 68.9 kg, Miller 68.7 kg, Hamwi 72.0 kg.
Frequently asked questions
Why are the formulas different?
They come from different studies and were originally meant for estimating drug doses, not personal goals. Their spread shows how wide a healthy weight can be.
